Athletics
St. Louis Christian College had a long history of athletics, with the Soldiers first competing in men’s basketball during the 1960-1961 season. The Soldiers competed in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) from 1978–2009. After leaving the NCCAA, the Soldiers joined the Association of Christian College Athletics (ACCA), as well as the Midwest Christian College Conference (MCCC). The 2017-2018 academic year was the final year of competition for the Soldiers.
Memories —
“One of the great blessings of my life was to be a part of “Soldiers” athletics, first as a player and then as the AD/Coach. SLCC basketball played a major role in my life development. God used sports, and particularly SLCC, to develop in me a desire to use my God-given talents and abilities for His glory.
When I was given the privilege to come back and coach, I prayed to God that I would work to instill that same desire in those who I coached.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 — “Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
